What does frameless, or European-styled cabinetry mean?
“Frameless” cabinets are built without a front wood frame, so doors and drawers attach directly to the sides, made from 3/4″ thick Birch plywood. This design provides a larger opening for full access to the interior.

What are the Advantages of a Frameless Cabinet?
1. Larger openings make accessing contents easier.
2. Construction allows for doors and drawers to cover nearly the entire front of the cabinet, making for a much cleaner, sleeker, modern look.
3. Drawer boxes are larger in frameless cabinetry giving around 25% more storage space compared to similar drawer styles in a framed cabinet.
4. 3/4″ plywood construction makes for a VERY sturdy cabinet.
What Makes Hallmark’s Frameless Box Different From Others?
Hallmark’s cabinet boxes differ slightly from common sizes:
1. Widths are in 3″ increments as you would expect from 9″ up to 42″.
2. Wall cabinets are 13″ deep (1″ deeper than the more common 12″ standard) – This is great for customers who often find 12″ deep wall cabinets are too shallow for their large plates!
3. Tall cabinets are 25″ deep (1″ deeper than the more common 24″ standard) – By being deeper than adjacent base cabinets (with end panels installed) are deep enough that countertops can die into them without any complicated cuts or returns.
4. Our open finished wall cabinets (and wine racks) come 13-7/8″ – Because they are finished inside and out, they do not require finished ends.
